name is Simon Grieve and I am The Cornice Man. With just over 20
years' experience as a fibrous plasterer, working in both the
private and commercial sector, I can transform your property into
something special. Be that a one bedroom flat or a million pound house,
restaurant, theatre or five star hotel, I’ve worked on them all; both in
this country and abroad.
I can supply and fit all internal decorative plasterwork which
doesn't just include cornices and roses
but
also ceiling mouldings, corbels, ornate
plaster wraps and arches etc. I can provide a bespoke service if you
are looking for something unique for yourself, or if you have simply
purchased plasterwork anywhere else and are trying to find someone both
capable of fitting it and able to do so to a very high standard.
I can provide the specialist skills to repair and restore by making good
missing, broken or damaged decorative plaster. I can match or
replicate existing cornice or plasterwork. This particular ability
represents a high proportion of my work.
You simply cannot buy off the shelf, any original cornice that was "run
in- situ" as it is unique to a property or area and would have been
actually moulded on site. You may need to replicate existing cornice for
a number of reasons.
Nowadays its common to extend your current property or make internal
alterations to improve your living space. I can reproduce the cornice or
plasterwork you cannot find. You may have an older property with lath
and plaster ceiling issues that have developed because of water
damage or otherwise, and the cornice, ceiling mouldings or roses have
become loose or worst case fallen down. This is something I can rectify,
replicate and/or reinstate.
I pride myself on giving you the customer a unique specialist one to one

you at your house, giving you my advice, making your materials and
